of New York before obtaining his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York
College of Optometry. Throughout his academic career, he demonstrated a strong commitment to
education, leadership, and community service, receiving several honors, including the NYC Merit
Scholarship, President's Volunteer Service Award, and Graduate Diversity Fellowship.
During his clinical training, Dr. Oo gained valuable experience at several prominent healthcare
institutions, including Bellevue Hospital, NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, and Downtown Eyecare
in Brooklyn. His training encompassed primary eye care, advanced ocular disease management, and
collaborative care alongside ophthalmologists and other eye care specialists.
Dr. Oo has extensive clinical experience evaluating and managing ocular conditions such as glaucoma,
dry eye disease, cataracts, macular degeneration, uveitis, and diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy. He
is also proficient in advanced diagnostic technologies, including optical coherence tomography (OCT),
retinal imaging, corneal topography, and visual field testing.
Having previously worked at Bronx Eye Associates as an ophthalmic technician, Dr. Oo developed a
strong foundation in patient care and diagnostic testing before returning to the practice as an optometrist.
